The Native American Cultural House opened in January of 2007 with a blessing by the Palouse Falls Intertribal Drum. The House was established to provide a gathering space for the Native American community at WSU. Art and décor reflect Native cultures creating a welcoming environment. Members of the Native community—students, staff, and faculty—often utilize the facility for cultural, social, and educational events throughout the year. In addition, the House is open to all members of the WSU community and is often used for visiting scholars, group meetings, and departmental retreats.
